Newsfeeds

What is a "newsfeed"?
A newsfeed provides headlines and links back to a website for the full articles. You select which sites you want in your newsfeed. Almost all websites provide newsfeeds these days.
Why would i want to use a newsfeed?
Newsfeeds make it very convenient to check what is new on many websites. And you don't have to go to each website, you just scan over the headlines in your news reader. You can see the headlines of new articles or postings, and even summaries of the content. Then if you want to read more, just click to go straight to the website.
What do I need to use a newsfeed?
You need a program called a news reader that displays newsfeeds from the websites you select. These readers are either a stand-alone program, or part of a web browser like Mozilla Firefox. A list of readers can be found on Yahoo.com or on Google.com.
